What else happened in Bicol?
7/30/2015Aside from discovering Bicol Region's disaster management practices as seen on my previous post you didn't think we'd let a chance to unwind go out of our hands right? So despite our tight schedule, we managed to bring in some fun stuff. So here are some of the other things we got to do in Bicol!
First, we got to eat all these delicious delicacies. These particular ones above were prepared when we went to Brgy. Bagong Silang 1 in Camarines Norte. What's even better is that they were served with fresh watermelons and coconuts which they just picked from the yard.
Also, we got to be guests on a radio show! I always knew being on the radio would be fun but never have I thought that it would be chaotic - or maybe it was just us!
We also got to walk by the beach, although we were not allowed to swim (because who swims in their jeans?) It was still fun thanks to seashells and well, good company!
And ofcourse, what's staying in Albay without going to their famous attractions? First we went to Lignon hill.
Where we got to see the Mayon Volcano in a decent view.
And we also got our first taste of Sili Ice cream there. (We've also tasted a bunch of other flavors from the First Colonial Restaurant- Gabi, Malunggay, Cacao, Pili, Salabat, etc.)
Then, we also went to the Cagsawa Ruins where we bought all our pasalubong stuff!
Aside from that we also got to walk into the lahar affected areas where we saw how people made livelihood of the dried up rivers.
And lastly, we got the best time of our lives swimming!
